First time in here tonight and it's such an awesome and comfortable place to sit down, eat have a drink and relax. The pizzwobrick oven wood fire style and many slices to choose from. Also there is a pool table, a fire place, many couches and a huge bar area. They also have a bakery section in this place. This place is definitely well worth the visit.
I love to get my tacos from Fowl Play. There birria tacos are so delicious and there fowl fries are scrumptious. I always love there steak tacos.
We rented a room for a private 30th birthday party and were so pleased with how everything turned out. The room is on the smaller side but our guests also gathered around the tables outside the room with our food. The vendors were very easy to work with. The pizza from Slice was delicious and we so were the taco platters, chips/salsa/guacamole and chicken fingers from Fowl Play/La Tortas Mx. The bar was right outside the room and easy to grab cocktails. We highly recommend this for a gathering. We had about 30 people. The only downside was parking. While it’s great to see downtown New Britain busy on a Saturday evening, guests had a difficult time finding parking.
I attended a private family event in one of the two rooms they have that are available for a fee. Overall the entire venue was beautiful! The cozy fireplace couch areas are very nice to sit & have a drink or eat some of the delicious food that the two eateries have to offer. The decor was very inviting, with an industrial flare. Great mixed use space that flows well together. Highly recommend! Well done remaining of this downtown space while honoring the architectural style of the area. Will definitely go again and tell others about it.
Excellent, versatile food court and meeting environment. Walking distance to all of downtown. Great central location. Nice socializing opportunities for informal groups.
We had the chicken and waffles from Fowl Play and the birria tacos from Las Tortas! Both were really good. It was a little confusing because both restaurants had the same counter and kitchen but you can order from the three restaurants they have there at the same counter.
The Assembly Room bar is a fantastic spot to unwind and enjoy a great drink. The bartender is always welcoming, greeting guests with a warm smile and providing top-notch service. The drinks are expertly crafted, making every visit a delightful experience. Whether you're stopping by for a casual drink or a night out with friends, this place never disappoints. Highly recommended!
I have been to very few bars in my life but this one is AWESOME! It's chill... It's modern... The bartenders are phenomenal! And it's clean! Perfect place for a date night or to have a drink after work. I have no words ... AMAZING!
